    We are pleased to announce the addition of the NB-500-LE, Low Energy Swinging Door Operator to our product line. While fully compliant with ANSI 156.19, this operator is unique because it is designed for heavy commercial/ industrial type doors that require a drive train to power the door open and power it closed (no springs used). Since there is no compression spring, all the energy becomes available for moving the door. These doors are typically blast resistant, heavy lead lined, security, interior personnel doors subjected to differen-tial pressures or entrance doors that must open and close through wind loads. The maximum rated door weight for the NB-500-LE is 2500 lbs, providing the operating torque does not exceed 1000 lb-in.

      We manufacture a variety of heavy duty ball screw and timing belt drive systems specially designed for a large range of operating forces (300 lbs- 1800 lbs), and linear speeds ( 4.5 in/sec – 18 in/sec) for unlimited travel distances.
      All systems are fully compliant with UL325 for commercial/industrial doors operators.

      1. Recommended for door weights listed, provided the Max. Operating Force (MOF) has not been exceeded. Door weight must be fully supported by track or bearing system. Door Operator shall not support any hanging door weight.
      2. Max. Operating Force (MOF) includes total force to overcome door friction, door track misalignment and acceleration forces.

      3. Features Linear Guide Tracking System, which supports timing belt and allows quick disconnect for manual operation.

    1. Direct Coupled Operator

      Direct-Coupled Door Operator

      By removing the typical linkage most doors exhibit between the door and operator and replacing it with a high-torque coupling, fitted between the output shaft and a modified Upper CPH Pivot, brookfield industries offers a completely concealed system that will rotate a door 180 degrees at a constant angular velocity throughout the cycle.

      The Upper CPH Pivot features a modified hinge pin serving 2 functions: 1) acts as a drive shaft to transmit torque between the operator and the door, 2) acts a hinge pin to transfer radial load between the door and frame.

      The Lower CPH Pivot is a standard version (also concealed), supports the full door weight and a share of the radial load.

    2. NB-5000

      The brookfield NB-5000 Vertical Lift Industrial Operator has been designed, tested and is being manufactured by brookfield industries, inc. and complies with UL 325.
      The NB 5000 will vertically raise and lower any industrial lead doors or heavy access panels weighing up to 2000 lbs. The maximum travel distance is 24" in one direction at a rate of 49 inches/min. This is accomplished with a 1 HP variable speed AC Brakemotor coupled to a helical in-line first stage (2.24:1) gear reduction. A second stage 6:1 worm gear reduction joins a 1 _" diameter machine screw jack to complete the drive train. Door activation is via a (3) position-keyed switch. Safety features include the following: a maintained contact open and close keyed switch that is spring return to stop in both directions; end of travel limit switches (supplied) that will override the keyed switch when activated; adjustable forward and reverse current limit trimpots that allow the stall torque to be safely set slightly above the operating forces, which protects equipment as well as providing for another degree of safety. The motor control, power supply hookup and low voltage limit switch hookup is housed in a NEMA 1enclosure. Manual operation during power interruption is accomplished by releasing the brake lever at the rear of the motor. Turning the input shaft of the screw jack in the proper direction will either raise or lower the door.
      Custom designs can be provided for varying weights, travel distances and travel rates.
      Guide system: Door to be guided in 2 directions by attaching 6 UHMV Polyethylene strips to the door.
